This brooch has no hallmarks, indicating it was made by a hobbyist or small-scale maker who didn't bother with stampings. Tests as 925 sterling, probably vintage mid-century (estimating solely from its deep patina—no scuffing on the stone). The textured surface of this piece is especially appealing.
