Celtic Cross"—Vintage British Sterling Brooch
From deep within the collective subconscious comes this Celtic cross, at once sacred and also anatomically correct. The pudenda are most pronounced, but it's all here, and + marks the spot.
This piece appears to have been meticulously sawn from sheet silver and then engraved entirely by hand.
Brooch is in excellent condition.
Brooch measures 1.75" (44.45mm) long and 1" (25.4) wide.
Hallmarks: The lion's face is for London, England; 925 of course denotes sterling silver, as does the SS in front of the numbers. RSE is silversmith Rhiannon S Evans, in operation from 1977-93.
